| Dan achieved success in amateur wrestling at an early age by earning a spot on the 1992 U.S. Olympic Team at just 21 years old. He repeated this feat again by winning the Olympic trials four years later in 1996 becoming a two-time Olympian.
Dan was successful from the onset at MMA competition, consistently facing the biggest names in the sport. His tenacity and willingness to fight anyone, anytime, has earned him respect throughout the world.
On March 3, 2007, Dan made history when he knocked out Wanderlei Silva and becoame the first fighter to ever hold two belts at the same time. He is the Pride Welterwieght and Middleweight World Champion.
Dan currently lives in Temecula California where he trains with Team Quest athletes in preparation for his upcoming fights in the Pride Fighting Championships.
