| Heath Sims started wrestling his freshman year in high school and a little over four years later became the second ranked member on the U.S. National Greco-Roman Team.
After becoming a two-time California State Champion, he went on to win a silver medal in the Espoir World Championships. During his wrestling career he won the Espoir National Championships four times, the University National Championships two times and the U.S. National Championships twice. In 2000, he achieved his long term goal and won a spot on the U.S. Olympic Team in Sydney, Australia where he placed eighth.
Since dedicating himself to Mixed Martial Arts in 2001, Heath has been ranked as high second at 165 pounds. He is also active in coaching youth wrestling in southern California. |
